Marmite

Tool

Also known as: Stock pot · French pot

A tall, straight-sided, lidded cooking pot traditionally made from earthenware or enamelled cast iron, used for long, slow braises, stocks, and soups. The word is French for 'hypocrite', so named because the pot conceals what is inside.
