Kitchen HelpShopping list
1 package refrigerated pizza dough — or homemade
8 oz lump crab meat — picked over for shells
8 oz cooked shrimp — peeled, deveined, and chopped
8 oz cream cheese — softened
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic — minced
1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
0.5 tsp black pepper
1 egg — beaten (for egg wash)
2 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp dried parsley
Instructions
Step by step
- 1
In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, Old Bay seasoning, Italian seasoning, parsley, and black pepper. Fold in the crab and shrimp until evenly coated.
- 2
Roll the pizza dough into a large rectangle. Spread the seafood mixture evenly over the centre, leaving a border around the edges. Fold the dough over the filling, pinch the seams tightly, and place seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- 3
Brush the top with the beaten egg. Mix the melted butter with garlic powder and dried parsley, then brush over the dough. Score a few shallow slits across the top for steam to escape.
- 4
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30–, or until the crust is deep golden brown and crisp. Allow the stromboli to rest for 5– before slicing.
- 5
Slice into thick portions and serve with warm Alfredo sauce, marinara, or garlic butter for dipping.
