400 g lean minced beef
400 g waxy potatoes — peeled, cubed
1 piece onion — finely chopped
2 clove garlic — crushed
0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
0.25 tsp ground cloves
0.5 tsp black pepper — freshly ground
0.5 tsp sea salt
2 tbsp olive oil
100 g rocket
1 tbsp red wine vinegar

Instructions
Step by step

Boil the potato cubes in salted water for 10– until tender. Drain and set aside.

Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook for until softened.

Add the garlic, cinnamon, cloves, black pepper and salt, and stir for until fragrant.

Add the minced beef and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, for 8– until browned and cooked through.

Stir in the cooked potatoes and cook for another 2–, tossing to warm through and coat in the spices.

Remove from the heat and drizzle over the red wine vinegar and remaining olive oil.

Serve the warm beef and potato mixture over a bed of rocket, tossing gently just before eating.
