Instructions

Step by step

    Pre-heat oven to 350°F.

    Grease 2 baking sheets.

  3. 3

    Place flour, salt, sugar, coconut & oats in a bowl.

  4. 4

    Add nuts.

  5. 5

    Melt the butter & syrup & 3 tbsp water in a saucepan.

  6. 6

    Add bicarb to froth up the mixture.

  7. 7

    Pour over the dry ingredients.

  8. 8

    Mix well.

  9. 9

    Roll into walnut-shaped balls & place apart on the baking sheets.

  10. 10

    Cook for 10- until pale brown.

  11. 11

    Leave to cool for then lift off with a palette knife onto a wire rack.

  12. 12

    Store in an airtight tin.
