500 g swede — peeled and cubed
250 g turnip — peeled and cubed
30 g unsalted butter
1 tbsp runny honey
1 pinch black pepper — to taste

Instructions
Step by step

Bring a large pan of water to the boil. Add the cubed swede and turnip, cover and simmer for 20–, until the vegetables are completely tender when pierced with a knife.

Drain thoroughly in a colander and shake off any excess water. Return the vegetables to the hot pan.

Add the butter and honey. Mash vigorously with a potato masher until smooth, or use a stick blender for a finer texture.

Season with a pinch of black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

Transfer to a warmed serving dish and serve immediately.
