Shopping list

  • 4 tbsp soy sauce — @kikkomanuk

  • 1 tsp honey

  • 1 large pinch chilli flakes

  • 1 tsp freshly grated ginger

  • 4 egg yolks — @clarence_court

Instructions

Step by step

  1. 1

Mix 4 tbsp of soy with the honey, chilli and ginger in a small bowl.

  2. 2

Add the egg yolks to the bowl, then top up with enough soy sauce to cover the yolks (it’s fine if the top of the yolks are slightly poking out!).

  3. 3

Refrigerate for minimum 10-12 hours if you want the same texture as what you see in the reel. You can keep in fridge for longer, the yolks will just be a little firmer.

  4. 4

To serve, spoon the marinated egg yolks out with some of the sauce.
