12 piece slider rolls or small soft buns
200 g sliced cooked ham
150 g Cheddar cheese — sliced or grated
60 g butter — melted
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp poppy seeds — optional

Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C fan). Grease or line a baking dish large enough to hold the rolls snugly in a single layer.

Slice the rolls in half horizontally, keeping them attached if possible. Place the bottom halves in the baking dish.

Layer the ham and cheese evenly over the bottom halves, then replace the tops.

In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with the Dijon mustard. Brush generously over the tops of the rolls and sprinkle with poppy seeds if using.

Cover the dish loosely with foil and bake for . Remove the foil and bake for a further 5– until the tops are golden and the cheese has melted.

Cut into individual sliders and serve warm.
