4 fillets white fish fillets — such as cod, haddock, or tilapia
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
2 large large eggs — beaten
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
0.5 teaspoon paprika
salt — to taste
black pepper — to taste
cooking oil — for frying
1 lb large shrimp — peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons butter
3 garlic cloves — minced
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
1 cup heavy cream
0.5 cup Parmesan cheese — freshly grated
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons fresh parsley — finely chopped
Instructions
Step by step
- 1
Get That Fish Crispy: Pat the fish dry and season with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Coat each fillet in flour, beaten egg, then panko for a crispy fish dinner.
- 2
Fry Until Golden: Heat cooking oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry the fillets until deeply golden and crisp outside and fully cooked inside, about 3– per side depending on thickness. Drain briefly.
- 3
Sizzle the Shrimp: Melt butter in a large skillet, add garlic, then toss in the shrimp and Cajun seasoning. Cook until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
- 4
Make That Creamy Sauce: Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream. Stir in Parmesan and lemon juice, then gently simmer until smooth and slightly thickened. Fold in parsley.
