1 piece eating apple — peeled, cored and diced

Instructions
Step by step

Place the diced apple in a small steamer basket over a pan of simmering water. Cover and steam for 8–, until the apple pieces are very soft.

Remove from the heat and let the apple cool slightly.

In a small bowl, mash the ripe banana thoroughly with a fork until smooth.

Add the steamed apple and a pinch of ground cinnamon to the mashed banana. Mash or stir together until well combined and the desired texture is reached (you can leave it slightly chunky for older babies practising lumps, or mash completely smooth for younger babies).

Check the temperature before serving — it should be just warm or at room temperature.

Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
