Shopping list

  • 6 unit Large Navel Oranges (M&S are best)

  • 120 ml Water

  • 170 g Sugar

  • 100 ml Grand Marnier

  • 10 unit Zest from the oranges finely grated

Instructions

Step by step

  1. 1

Heat the water, sugar and grand marnier gently in a small pan until it starts to thicken to a lovely syrup. Turn Off the heat and set aside. You can set this aside or make in batches for use later as long as you store in a prepared steralised bottle.

  2. 2

Slice out very neatly the beautful pulp of the oranges with a very sharp knife (be careful to produce beautiful segment shaped flesh only pieces)

  3. 3

Once cooled. Pour the syrup over the oranges

  4. 4

Add plenty of finely grated zest to bring the dish to life.

  5. 5

Great on its own as a healthy option or amazing with vanilla ice cream
