1 cup Smoky BBQ sauce — divided
1 cup Low-sodium beef broth
0.33 cup Dark brown sugar
2 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
4 cloves Fresh garlic (minced)
2 tbsp Fresh parsley or chives (chopped) — for garnish
1 tbsp Smoked paprika
1 tbsp Garlic powder
1 tsp Onion powder
1 tsp Coarse sea salt
1 tsp Cracked black pepper

Season the brisket: Pat the brisket completely dry. In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Rub the seasoning mix firmly onto all sides of the beef.

Sear for colour: Heat a large skillet over high heat with 1 tbsp oil. Sear the brisket for 3– per side to build a rich, caramelized crust.

Slow cook to tender: Place the brisket into a baking dish, Dutch oven, or slow cooker fat-side up. Pour beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and apple cider vinegar around the base. Cover tightly and bake at 300°F (150°C) for 3½ to 4 hours (or cook on LOW in a slow cooker for 7–8 hours) until fork-tender.

Apply the sticky glaze: Whisk the BBQ sauce, brown sugar, and minced garlic together. Spoon generously over the surface of the meat and broil uncovered for 5– until bubbly and caramelized.

Rest, slice & serve: Allow the brisket to rest for . Carve into thick slices against the grain, baste with pan juices, and garnish with fresh chopped herbs before plating.
