200 g sweet potato — peeled and diced
1 piece eating apple — peeled, cored and diced
50 ml water — or as needed

Instructions
Step by step

Preheat your oven to 200°C (180°C fan).

Place the diced sweet potato on a small baking tray and roast for 20– until very tender.

Meanwhile, place the diced apple in a small saucepan with about 50ml water. Cover and simmer gently over low heat for 8– until the apple is soft and mashable.

Once both are cooked, combine the sweet potato and apple in a bowl.

Mash together with a fork or potato masher until smooth, adding a little of the apple cooking water if needed to reach the desired consistency.

Allow to cool to a safe temperature before serving to your baby.

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days, or freeze in small portions for up to 1 month.
